The SSC MTS 2021 Examination is conducted for the selection of non-gazetted staff for various Ministries/Departments and PSUs, Banks etc under the Central Government. Candidates can also apply through the proper channel as well as apply for this recruitment test directly. The examination consists of Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). This examination is divided into 3 tiers as Tier-I, Tier II & III.
There are three papers in the Tier I examination – Paper 1 General Intelligence & Reasoning, Paper 2 General Awareness on current affairs and basics of Computer Knowledge, each with 100 questions carrying one mark each. Paper 3 consists of two sections, which comprises 50 questions each having multiple options with a single response carrying one mark for each section. The time duration of the paper would be 90 minutes.
Candidates who qualify Paper I and Paper II (Tier-I) will appear for Tier – 2, which is a computer-based test comprising both objective and subjective type questions with multiple options having a single correct response. There are a total of two papers in this tier carrying 100 marks each. Candidates have to secure 40% aggregate marks separately in Paper-I & II in order to meet eligibility criteria for Tier 3 examination.
This is followed by a Tier -3 Examination consisting of one paper containing Objective Multiple Choice Questions with the single correct response from General Studies [Prelims]. The exam carries 200 marks without negative marking. In order to conclude the recruitment process candidates need to clear all 3 tiers. SSC MTS 2021 Exam Details
Mode of Examination: Online
Examination Duration: 90 minutes
No of Questions: 100 questions carrying 1 mark each.
There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer. There would be no deduction for the unattempted question, so candidates are advised to attempt all the questions.
The question paper will be in English or Hindi on a computer screen and there is no provision for dictation/transcript/translation etc…
Answers must be marked by using mouse clicks only which means answers once provided cannot be edited or changed later.
Paper Setting Pattern – Paper I & II (Tier-1) consists of 100 Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions from the following subjects-Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry & Computer Operations.
Candidates have to secure 40% marks in Paper-I and II each separately in order to meet eligibility criteria for the Tier-3 Examination.
An aggregate of 80% marks is required to clear all 3 tiers.
There will be a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer. Answer key will be provided on the official website after 10 days of completion of the examination process and applicants can get their answers checked online also.
